Looking forward to the second half. They've been much the better side but haven't created many clear-cut chances after the 7th min pen save. They're so wonderfully Leeds. Good show. Lots of good passing spells, nasty needley 'challenges' and chucking themselves to the ground diving all over the place. Ramsey getting forward well. Big Carney getting annoyed at others not being as chilled as he is in possession. Get it into Enormous Wes and hold the ball up.
useless
I think we'll probably improve when Wesley comes off, not because he's done anything wrong or is a bad player, but because I think it will mean we play a littlle more like we usually do rather than focusing too much on looking for him. For all the praise Leeds are getting I don't think they've looked that good, but they do battle very hard and make it difficult, we're making it a little easy for them, probably in part because of the disjointed nature of the team, and also because some of them only played the day before yesterday. Don't be surprised to Philogene-Bidace come up with something from nothing up until recently he was the only player apart from Barry that was scoring goals, hopefully we can get him more into the game in the second half, him and Chukwuemeka usually link up very well. mikeyp102
Lindley struggling a little out there in the dm position. Doesn’t look as good as Raikhy did on Wednesday (admittedly this is completely and betterment opposition). Sulberto21
We seem to be kicking it long for Barry to chase. Is this how we usually play?

Is this how we usually play? no, we look like a different team, the u23s usually go out of their way to play intricate football. Leeds are just rolling us over.

useless
Engels is handicapping us from an attacking point of view, keeps hitting it long and long and giving it away.
villa4europe
Looks like a team with something to play for vs a team with nothing to play for Get them in the first team
MaVilla
not being funny but Leeds U23 have now scored two goals against an Aston Villa U23 side with FOUR senior PL players in it. We are really bad tonight.
OutByEaster? Posted April 16, 2021 Moderator Share Posted April 16, 2021 Yep, no complaints about the scoreline, they've been the better side - we've shown the occasional flash but it's been individual stuff rather than team play.
lexicon
Good hour for Wes - tired a lot in the last 10 mins or so. Progress.

Popular Post useless
It's worth pointing out that having first teamers in the U23 side doesn't automatically mean that you should be better, because more often than not they'll treat it like a training game and will be less up for it than the regular U23 players. OutByEaster? Posted April 16, 2021 Moderator Share Posted April 16, 2021 It's a shame that with Engels and Hause at CB we haven't taken the opportunity to put Bogarde in as the deep lying midfielder, his ability to turn the ball out of defence and get the team pushing forward is exactly what we're missing. Yep, Leeds get a point and they get promoted, this game quite visibly means something to them and it doesn't to us, a mixture of the players solely their for fitness and the better youngsters having already played this week
OutByEaster? Posted April 16, 2021 Moderator Share Posted April 16, 2021 This game will do these youngsters as much good as the big win against Burton. There are some good lessons to be learned here. Who was the other sub that came on there? Brunt and....
