We can't wait indefinitely, but the spin from the papers early on was he was keen to come. Players involved in the Championship Play offs/ latter stages of European competition might still be on extended breaks (genuinely not sure if that applies to Watkins. He might be back already). To my mind we need three quality editions who can come straight into the first team. Brentford do not need to sell him, but they will do, he made no bones about wanting Premier League football, preferably with us, but results worked out it wasn't to be, so he will be moving on, good luck to him he deserves it after the hard work he has put in with us over the last 3 years, DS had a good relationship with all players and was well liked, as for the asking price and where he will be going, that will be down to Watkins, and that's another matter entirely.
