The thought of him running rings around the aging centre backs.... what a shame Southgate wanted to pick 500 defenders to enable his 3 different defensive formations, instead of a properly balanced squad that can adapt to the variety of situations you're likely to come up against during various games. But, even then Grealish, Rashford, Sancho could all have come on way earlier than they did. DCL could have been brought on. And, even if Watkins had been in the squad, he simply wouldn't have been used. Glad he got chance to rest rather than have his summer wasted by the clown that is Southgate. Have another season like this and he's got a real chance of being our striker at the next World Cup, even if Sourhgate is still in charge.

JAMAICAN-VILLAN
Irony is, when people were moaning in the Euro match threads about how deep Kane was playing, areas he was in and where he was picking up the ball. I had to wonder if they had ever watch us play, and how Ollie often had to play the same way? Edited July 12, 2021 by JAMAICAN-VILLAN
