What's Brentford's logic for saying yeah have him for £10m when they had no strikers at all? With only him as an option? Brentford who famously make everyone pay through the bumhole as well. useless Posted August 6, 2020 Share Posted August 6, 2020 Watkins had a buy out clause in his contract for £10m, which was presumably removed when he signed a new deal with Brentford in August of last year. But this time last year he wasn't anywhere nearly as highly rated as he has become, he was getting goals and assists from the wing but was quite inconsistent performance wise, or so I saw the Brentford fans suggest at the time, so can't really blame the club for not wanting to buy him then. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
