What a shambles. #LangeOut Welcome Ollie! Very excited about this. I don't know the details of that performance.....but it does go to prove you can't JUST keep playing football.....you have to have skills to deny the opposition, too. I am not an expert on the academy but we seem to be obsessed with No 10's and wingers.......They are only kids ,we know, but time drifts on, they need to know how to defend......its not all kippers and curtains. The problem is that kind of result can undo every bit of good work....its disappointing. Edited September 9, 2020 by TRO

Villan4Life
I remember reading a newspaper story about Watkins when he helped get Exeter into 2017 Play Off Final. He had never been to Wembley before as growing up his mum couldn’t afford it. He was absolutely proud to be playing at Wembley and also going there for his first time!! Stuff of dreams. Popular Post jonjon Posted September 9, 2020 Visiting Supporter Popular Post Share Posted September 9, 2020 (edited) Well done, he’s worth every penny, Brentford FC website states for an undisclosed fee as per usual. There are 4 winners here Brentford FC Aston Villa Exeter City Your Fans We apparently stuck to our guns and have obtained a Record fee for us by miles, nice one, Thank you Villa. But on the other hand you will not be disappointed with him, We shall all miss him but will move on, as we always do each season, you are getting a quality player who won’t let you down, A super fit athlete who looks after himself, A workhorse, Thinks, strong and runs into the right channels, great eye for goal, versatile and can play as a striker or out wide so he gives you options, good with both feet and his head, and will only improve, what’s not to like? above all a very nice personable guy who spares time to talk to the fans, I think he will adapt to Premier League football and should give you at least 10-15 goals in his first season. All you need now is someone who can supply him with the killer pass, other than Grealish. I will keep an eye out for his performances and look forward to seeing him on Sky, will visit this site occasionally just to see what you think of him good or bad, or you just might to be glad to get rid of me on here!!!? Popular Post TRO
9 minutes ago, brummybloke said: Its the biggest payday exeter have ever had. They have sold players to top teams previously such as vinnicombe to rangers some 15 years plus ago for 250k or what ever it was, ampadu to Chelsea, but nothing quite like this. It will keep exeter solvent for 2 years on its own. The training ground can be updated and improved upon bearing in mind the amount of use from all the junior exeter teams also use it and it can also get better security to stop the travellers from trying to invade it each year as they do to the pub car park over the road. With no other funding as no crowds, sponsorship down to minimal and shirt/ club souvenir sales not huge, it keeps them healthy. I know we have to look after our own pennies......but this is a good trade off for smaller clubs.....good day for Exeter, Brentford and hopfully Villa too....win,win,win. Small clubs are the lifeblood of football as an entity, and their role is crucial. I am genuinely pleased for them.

Brentford are playing this game differently to everyone else. It works for us, so we are used to see them move on, had we had made the Premier League he would still be with us, perhaps next year? then we can keep our best players.
