Don't really know much about him.

I see that he is 20 years old. Probably a good strategy to have a few older players to help solidify the U23 team. You don't want 11 talented U18's overrun each match and losing their confidence.

Team against Leicester:

Zych, Swinkels, Rhoades, Patterson, Aaron O'Reilly, Tommi O'Reilly, McBride, Alcock, Sewell, Reddin, Lindley

Subs: Lewis, Hart, Young, Pierre, Shakpoke

A couple of those names are new to me.

Literally a surname list of Peaky Blinders characters if you didn't know any better.

McBride is the muscle, Lindley the brains...

Quite a few players missing from that lineup which explains the heavy defeat.  Only 2 of that team started against Newcastle.

Last night's line up is pretty much what you'd expect for a U18 league game, the only real regulars missing were Appiah and Ealing and Ealing's been missing for a while now anyway, presumably injured. Leicester aren't very good, lost 8-0 at the weekend and are near the bottom of the table, so whilst we haven't been great ourselves results wise recently, I'm sure we would have expected to do a little better.

That said we did start with three U16 players and bring on another two in the second half, one of them playing at this level at least a year earlier than you'd normally expect, so most important thing will have been to see how they adapt to U18 football.

Harry Williams from West Brow is training with us for 2 weeks apparently. 18 y.o CB who's also followed by Burnley. 6ft 3 with a royal name, can't go wrong there surely.

Also saw a rumor linking us with a 16 y.o CB Josh Feeney from Fleetwood.

2-0 down at half-time both their goals coming from penalties. Can tell that it's quite a disjointed side with a lot of U16s playing, think these final games are more about seeing how they bed in at this level rather worrying too much about results, Patterson looks neat and tidy on the ball, probably one of our better players, Barber has show a few good moments as well. Kadan Young meant to be well regarded so will interesting to see him if he comes on in the second half.

We seem to be struggling a bit at U18 level?

We've not really had much to play for in the league at either U18 or U23 level in the latter part of the season so we've rested a number of our better players in order to keep them fresh for the Youth Cup. At U18 level the Youth Cup is the tournament that carries all the prestige and the focus has been on that for a few weeks now.

Really hope that Aaron Ramsey is availabe for the semi-final, someone at the game on another forum said his ankle injury against Albion in the league looked like a bad one, and he hasn't been seen since. Chrisene seems to have been out for a while now as well.
