Quarter final currently looking:

  • Liverpool vs. Arsenal
  • Newcastle vs Aston Villa
  • Ipswich vs Bristol City/Sheffield Utd (17th)
  • West Brom vs Everton

Great result for Everton knocking Chelsea out.

Liverpool have a player called Balagizi who looks very impressive and is one to keep an eye out for.

Newcastle are near the bottom of the U18 premier league north table and have been using pretty much the same side for the FA Youth Cup, but they did beat league leaders Man Utd this weekend, so are capable of causing an upset.

Hopefully it will be streamed somewhere, their game in the last round which was also an home game for them was broadcast on youtube, but strangely through Watford's channel, so presume Newcastle must have given them permission to film it hopefully we come to a similar arrangement.

From the FA :

The draws for the semi-final and Final of the 2020-21 FA Youth Cup have been made.

With eight clubs remaining in the competition and four quarter final ties still to be played, teams now know their route to the Final.

And with the competition only having one-legged ties in both the semi-finals and Final,  we also know which club will be at home in the Final.

Semi-final ties will be scheduled to take place by Saturday 15 May, while the Final will be scheduled before Saturday 29 May.

The semi-final draw

1 Ipswich Town or Sheffield United v Liverpool or Arsenal
2 Newcastle United or Aston Villa v West Bromwich Albion or Everton

The Final draw

Newcastle United or Aston Villa or West Bromwich Albion or Everton v Ipswich Town or Sheffield United or Liverpool or Arsenal

Subs: Zych, Swinkels, Sylla, Raikhy, Hart

Wow, that would pass as a PL2 line-up.

3-2 at half-time, Brad Young got his second for our third, they scored their second four minutes into injury time. Kesler and Aaron Ramsey both subbed off for Swinkels and Raikhy.

We've thrown away a two goal lead, it's now 3-3.

Chukwuemeka came off after 46 minutes, meaning Barry will play the whole game as we've made all three subs, so presumably he won't be involved with the first team tomorrow.

We're somehow winning 6-4 after going 4-3 down. Young has scored another two and then assisted Barry for our sixth.

Edit: Appiah assited both Young goals. three goals in six minutes for us.
