Selecting topic doesn’t take me to first new post

Cache cleared and relogged out/in. Using Safari on ios. 
 

I am selecting a thread title in off topic and instead of taking me to the first new post, I am took to the top of the last page.

Beautiful. One of those feature you don’t realise how useful it is until it’s gone.

It’s gone away for me, too. Not installed any updates, so dunno how.

It'll be part of their online services - like when they rolled out the API hooks for track and trace the other week. No update visible to the user.

Thanks. What does that mean in english?  - they have updated my phone? or they have updated something in their services which handle websites? or something else?

I'm not an Apple user. so I can't be specific. Licensed Android phones have something called "Google Play Services" which controls all kinds of things between updates. Apple will have something similar.

It's more important on Android as manufacturers are bad at updating their phones. So more functionality is shifted into services and apps and less in the OS.
