He's been great in these couple of games so far, granted not had much to show today but he seems to have improved the defensive aspect of his game positionally. Absolutely shameless smash and grab that but we'll take it all day. In the probably unlikely event we hold out it'll be huge, more than the already huge 3 points it'd be. Yes agreed he seems to have stepped it up because Grealish has been quiet, so it's nice to see someone else other than Grealish stepping up.

KenjiOgiwara
Can anyone remember the last match we were leading were you felt comfortable we would walk out with 3 points? I swear I think it might be the Sunderland match 8 years ago.

Chindie Posted June 21, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted June 21, 2020 In fairness Chelsea have been spanking us without breaking a sweat and the Holte End was tin can alley for them. With a bunch of players on the bench that can improve then and more impetus to get something whilst we tire and bring on weaker players in the main they're going to score. And probably win. thunderball
Wow, we are so limited and honestly a poor side. I fear Smith is the limiting factor, but we look out of ideas. Despite being a goal up I just can’t see us finishing with 3 points, I’ve seem nothing from this team so far today.

Yeah it's been that bad against all these teams by going in front, winning that because there's history involved we should go pull us some statues down and throw them in the cut.. No one likes history anymore.

Sulberto21
Right some observations. Mcginn is getting between the lines but the one guy who can get it to him is being bypassed. Douglas Luiz has the ability to pass between the lines and has done it everytime he has received it, but is not being utilised enough. AEG can be a decent Premier league player if he works harder off the ball. We don't know how to press the ball together either one does it or two do it we need to press as a whole team. That's one of the reasons why teams pass through us. Davis knows how to press so does Grealish but AEG doesn't.
