DCJonah
Just had a very strange experience using Google docs on my chromebook. So I was typing away when all of a sudden the screen turned off and then back on. As soon as it was back on, my text started deleting itself word by word as if I was holding down the delete button. I quickly exited the document and then loaded it back again and it was fine. It was like someone had taken over my computer and just pressed the delete button. I don't share my docs with anyone. Really weird. Anyone experienced the same or any advice?
limpid Posted June 20, 2020 Administrator Share Posted June 20, 2020 I've had similar things with Bluetooth keyboards. What you describe could be a failing delete key though. All versions of a doc are stored though so you wouldn't have lost anything.
DCJonah
I did think that about the key, but it was weird that the screen turned off and then on just before it happened. I'm quite new to docs, how do I find the previous version?

villakram
Happens on my mac on and off, some key repeat/getting stuck error. A quick press of Esc or an active F-key normally give the system the required slap around the side of the head.
