Best World XI challenge; no two players from the same club or country

I've seen this thrown about through various sporting 'outlet's and surprised to not see it on here.

The rules are: Best World XI from your lifetime. No two players can have played for the same club(at any time) or can be from the same country.

I will try and get mine down after a lot of thinking

That was actually really hard. Here's the best I could come up with.

                         Oblak

Ricardo  Van Dijk  Koulibaly  Bernat

                Kante     Modric

                    De Bruyne

Ronaldo   Lewandowski      Messi

But you got it wrong 😉

Cant play for the same club or country ever. Its bloody tough unless squeezing a lot of 1 club players

I'll go

                                              Southall

Lahm                  Hansen                  Fernando Hierro            Maldini

                          Keane                    Gilberto Silva

                   Maradona                       Carlos Vaderrama

                              Shearer             Luc Nilis

I think that fits but a little unconventional, could have put Shearer up front but I'd prefer watching Chris Waddle.

Edit: Waddle and Southall both played for Bradford so Shearer is in. Think I could go De Bruyne for Nilis if I wanted too but I'll leave it as is.

Probably loads of mistakes in my team but here goes anyway!  I could get to 10 but then hit a brick wall, in the end had to go for Lauren from Arsenal at right back.

--------------------Alisson-------------

Lauren---Kompany-----Godin--Lahm

----------------Keane-----Gattuso-----------------

----Messi------------Grealish----------Bale----

----------------------Mbappe-------------

Ah bloody Kante and Ricardo

I actually got it doubly wrong, as I missed the "in your lifetime" part. I thought this would make it easier but it's actually significantly harder especially since I have a smaller pool of players, having only starting watching football in the late 90's:

                          Neur

Lauren   Van Dijk   Ferdinand   Godin

                     Modric

   De Bruyne             Nedved

 Totti           Messi       Rui Costa

Very good team but De Bruyne had the spell at Chelsea, McGrath  or Tony Adams might be a replacement for Terry. Lloris and Modric too.

You caught me before the edit

That's the problem with football, and teams like Chelsea hoovering up talent. A lot of players would have played with each other. Think De Bruyne played like 3 games for Chelsea.

                Friedel

Ramos Godin Maldini Cole

   Valderramma Keane  Pjanic

 Mpabbe  Lewandowski  Messi

Not easy at all probably have 1 wrong somewhere. No room for Germans or Brazilians 😂

I spent a good 3 hours the other night doing this on my phone. Still not 100% happy with it, but I've got a cracking team. Really hard, and no Brazilians! Amazing how many people have played for Real and Barca, or one of the 2 and Juve as an example. Might give it another go after.

-------------------------------------- Oblak (Slovenia) -------------------------------------------------

Srna (Croatia) -- Ramos (Spain) -- Kompany (Belgium) -- Lahm (Germany)

------------------ Kante (France) ---------------------- Keane (Ireland) -----------------------

Messi (Argentina) ------------ Totti (Italy) --------------------- Rui Costa (Portugal)

------------------------------------- Shearer (England) -----------------------------------------------

all fantasy teams are meaningless

True but this one in particular. Steven Gerrard said he spent hours mulling it over to decide on his team. I started mine and gave up when I couldn’t pick any players I wanted at right back when it would have meant leaving out all time country greats in other positions
