hippo
My son is a student and for reasons I don't fully understand he has to deal with this billing management company Huddle. From what he tells me he seems to receive penalties and charges with no end - as they clear one lot of debt - the company finds reasons to bill then further - as a group of students they rent a house - the first bill they picked up was apparent for previous tennants - which huddle claimed they are liable for - once that had been cleared - further bills and charges kept coming.... Any experience or ideas how to deal with this - I have thought about complaining to OFCOM , FCSA or trading standards - but never having been a student myself not sure of my rights

As for the others, it's hard to know without at least their explanation of what the charges are for. There's no point in trying to go to any kind of regulatory body with the complaint "they keep charging me". What are the charges for, and why are they wrong? chrisp65
Have they rented via official University channels, or gone completely independent. If Huddle have any connection or recommendation arrangement with the Uni then start with Uni letting once you know the specifics of the charges. They’d be more likely to listen to the Uni if it lost them trade or recommendation not to.

The previous tennants used Huddle - but my son doesn't - he pays a different bill management company.

Ah, then tell them to **** right off if he doesn’t even have a contract with them. Or better still, send them a bill for when you bought your house and needed a new carpet. It's Your Round
Sounds like they’re being seriously mislead here, I’d ask your son for any correspondence he’s received from them and give them a ring. It’s hard to know without having the full picture, but none of what you’ve said sounds right to me.
