Passing Time During The Pestilence

I'm glad we get on well with our neighbours. Not so much for doing each other favours (although it may yet come to that), just for a bit of 'safe socialising'. With the weather currently pretty pleasant (I know that can't last in this country), we're out in the back garden a lot - and we have neighbours on three sides, all of whom are nice folks we get on well with, so we get some conversation without resorting to screens.

I found some snails in the fish pond today so lined them up for a race and streamed it via WhatsApp to some mates

one of them was at the back and really struggling so I removed his shell to make him a bit faster , but all it did was make him more  sluggish

I had a racing snail once. I thought maybe if I take him out of his shell, the weight loss and streamlining will make him even faster.

But it actually made him more sluggish.

You've lowered your standards, Tony.

Absolutely no chance. I'd rather move house than do DIY on my current place!

More and more virtual gigs popping up from impoverished musicians. Watched one last night on Facebook from one of my local favourites, Rachel Laven (a Texas lass currently living in Leeds). Bunged her a tenner on PayPal (there were thirty-odd people in the remote 'audience', so I hope they did the same). Support your local musicians if you get the chance.

An old mate of mine decided to do a couple of DJ sets on Facebook last night Facebook bots kept shutting him down for coyright infringement. I get that in normal times but right now it should f*** the F*** off

People putting on free 'live' on line gigs is pretty cool and nothing beats a live gig even if it's on line.

Can everybody post in here what they know of that up coming, regardless of what it is or what genre?

It will give everybody a chance to check in and watch/listen.

Come on guys, please 👍

Geoguesser - Let's explore the world!

*EDIT - might be worth giving it a miss; apparently google charge so much to use their stuff now that they had to stop this game being free*

Are there any online poker games that also have webcam access ? Thinking of trying to set a game up with some mates , but not with text chat , would only really work with chat / banter via webcam

We did our usual Monday pub quiz tonight. Questions sent out and answers returned by email. Cheating would be easy, but there wouldn't be much point, as there are no prizes. Our team deliberated via WhatsApp.

We came second.

I saw an app advertised the other day and it was called Poker Face (i think). Which is as good a name as any!

Never used it but the jist was definitely online poker where you could see everyone's face
