The shirt sponsor is fine.

What we really need is an official noodle sponsor:

Still with Cazoo next season aren't we? They certainly got a better deal from us than they did with Everton (who they pay £4m more to each season, I believe for much the same exposure).

Wow, thats shocking, I had just presumed it would be the same money for similar sized clubs.

I dont understand why we cant rake in the same amounts as some perceived "bigger" clubs. We have a massive fan base, surely thats what sponsorships would look at, rather than where a team finished in the league? We have more fans than Man City and Chelsea so you'd imagine companies would rather expose themselves to more people. Especially when you consider some of these teams have separate sponsors for league and Europe.

surely it would make us more popular in the Italian community. Italian language could do for Villa what the English language did for these guys

I stand to be corrected but I think when the Cazoo sponsorship deal was agreed and announced we were staring relegation in the face and could quite possibly have been a Championship side last season. Presumably there were conditions written into the deal that covered relegation, but maybe that’s why Villa weren’t on a level footing with Everton when it came to negotiations?

Thank heavens for Hawkeye eh? 😉

Sadly we don’t on a global marketing side of things. Real fans in stadiums, sure, we have more than Chelsea have in Stamford Bridge. But watching a game somewhere on tv in Singapore or Spain or San Francisco - a lot more people are watching Man City and Chelsea than watching Aston Villa.

Not sure if you are being serious?

Our fanbase is tiny compared to Citeh and Chelsea.

Just look for example at Instagram followers. Citeh 24.3m, Chelsea 27. 2m, Villa 1.1m.  That is the scale of our challenge to become a big team again.

Whilst those numbers are heavily inflated by non fans, they are the numbers that negotiators can point to when agreeing a price. They are the number of people that see a post with your product emblazoned on it.

Long way to go, but exciting players like Jack and Emi, and winning a cup will start bridging that gap fast. Even Jack doing well at the Euros could significantly increase our followers there.

To put Villa's stature on Instagram into perspective, Jack Grealish has more Instagram followers than we do as a club. We have a long way to go yet, but if we can keep players like Jack and start threating the positions of the SL6 and win a trophy or two🤞🙏 , then that number will hopefully grow.

Checking Instagram and Samatta has 2 million followers and Trezeguet 4.6 million 😲

Can maybe see why we maybe signed them

Norwich were sponsored by Dafabet last season, they're apparently having a meltdown over Bk8 because their social media and official website is full of 'softporn' images. It's being reported as a 'PR disaster' and Bk8 have had to remove a lot posts from their twitter and instagram pages after complaints from Norwich fans.

They've now announced that they've terminated the contract with BK8 after the complaints... There is a slight Villa connection as well, as John Terry is a brand ambassador for them.
