Man that is a bleak statement to read from your captain if you're a Wet Spam fan.  There must be some very deep divisions within the club.  It's hard to see the porn dwarf letting that go as well.

Hopefully this messes up their season, are relegated and default on their miserly payments for their taxpayer funded stadium and are turfed out of it.

I’d enjoy watching them implode. Not as much as Leeds going straight back down (purely because of their fans) but WHFC doing a full dumpster fire next season would warm my heart.

All done pretty well considering some were considered not good enough for the championship.

When I see someone speculate that a decent PL player “would struggle in the Championship” that’s an immediate red flag as to that person’s ability to rate a player. If they thought it about the likes of Gueye they are truly a nutjob.

Amavi, Gana, Ayew and possibly Veretout (he really did need time to settle in and even now I'm not convinced premier league would suit his style) would've all been fine dropping into a Villa team with Vlaar, Delph and Benteke in it. Instead they got Lescott, Richards, Richardson, Sanchez and Gestede alongside them.

That's why this summer is a bit frustrating. We have McGinn, Luiz and Grealish all still around so ample time to get in players of calibre of summer 2015. Might not get the chance again next summer.

I would echo this, the club was poisonous at the time. The squad now while low in quality overall (I'd fancy myself to score as many as Davis/Samatta) does seem to have a closeness.

I thinks Mings, Konsa & Cash should all be solid options in the back, I am probably one of the few who rates Fred and Targett links up well with Jack.

GK needs sorting it was such a hole for us last year when Tom got injured and it did not help the confidence of the 10 players in front of the GK.

Luiz, Jack & SJM are all very nice players, Hourihane is a solid squad player and Marvellous deserves another season.

We need wingers massively Trez and El Gazhi are not up to it and as already mentioned the strikers are a joke.

I can understand the logic in signing the likes of Wilson, he is an upgrade on what is already there maybe not Wes but he's a big lad and we can't rush him back.

However, I was hoping for young exciting talent, players bought with PL experience for me are incredibly over priced and the money could be spent better else where IMO.

To be honest I have soft feelings for them and Arsenal, as we stayed up through them (by beating Watford and us not losing to them). That alone makes me feel ok with them.

Yep.

Definitely need a CM IMO.

Sangare from Toulouse the man.

Right you are sir.

Bloody nothing as exciting as a striker you know nothing about. Doesn't have to be foreign though. Just unknown.

_____

If Tarkowski is available from Burnley, we have to get in there.

This plays into my 352 will get us into the top 4 theory but he's just absolutely fantastic. So good. Love Konsa, but Tarkowski is just brilliant. Better than Mings. Better than any centre half in the England squad.

Presumably 20m won't get him. I'd be asking for £40m if I was Burnley.

Why does Mings get picked ahead of Tarkowski for England then?

Do we honestly agree that Watkins,Cash and Wilson will improve us that much from being in a relegation scrap 2 of those are unproven in Premier League and other can be great on his day.I'm not convinced. We need more players and quality.

If we continue our form post lock down then I don't think we will be in a relegation scrap and all those players improve us substantially.  Hopefully we agree terms with Romero as well who would improve us massively over Nyland who probably lost us 6+ points on his own.

I can see Watkins scoring a load of goals at the backpost from a Cash/Grealish cross depending on which side he is on.  Wilson will score goals and Cash will add more attacking threat down the right.

We still need more though in case (god forbid) Grealish gets injured for a few months.  Benrahma and Buendia, a CB and CM and I would be happy.  Would be nice for Lange to pick up a few random gems as well close to the end of the window.

They improve us, but by how much is the $million question. Possibly enough to be a couple of places higher, but still flirting with relegation IMO. Certainly not the step change I was hoping for to push into mid table. But still time for that to change.

Absolutely. After lockdown a good striker would have got us 6/7 more points in that run in.

Having players like wilson and watkins will get us up the table.

It's not a certainty though. We don't know how Watkins will take to the PL. He could easily be worse than Samatta.

On paper they are signings that will help us move up a couple of places, and solidifying ourselves in the PL right now is what it's about.

We still need more bodies.

Absolutely not, they are pretty uninspiring signings. Have to say I'm pretty disappointed so far, with Wilson and Watkins well it's just meh. The first team hasn't improved much, wing play is non existent still, no pace in the team either.
