Mind you, he is also saying we are competing with Real Madrid to sign one of Juventus' transfer-listed players. Let's hope he's right on the deals next week though as we could do with getting some new faces in to start training with the current squad. Wolves have bought a kid from Rochdale so again won't play much this season. Sheff utd have signed 2 keepers. But is ramsdale better than Henderson? I really doubt it. I keep reading how other clubs are buying players, but they really aren't that much. There's 8 other clubs, many of our rivals, who haven't strengthened. This isn't including one or 2 others who haven't bought. Many other clubs have bought 1 maybe 2. Southampton have bought in a loanee permanently and a new cb. Palace have signed a youngster and then eze. Probably a good signing but I'm not particularly worried we didn't go in for him. Everyone banging on about Brighton, they've signed an injury prone 32 year old. He's a very good player but he's not the kind of signing I'd like to make. They've bought a few kids and a cheap signing from Ajax. He may prove to be decent, he may prove to be crap. Who knows. I'm not jealous of them at all. Truth is, there hasn't been a great deal of improvements from any squad. Chelsea and man city aside I guess. We will sign players and sign more then most and spend more than most I'd guess.
