Sky bet is driven by what people are betting on. Not by what is actually going on. It would be strange is Sky bet know more than the journalists. Probably due to that fake ITK on twitter saying we'd had a bid accepted last night.

Would of course be effected by betting trends but will also be effected by links they come across, most likely any story that sky run will be shared with them before it becomes public it's not as clear cut of only depending on betting trends

Apart from compulsive gamblers it’s only people that might know what’s going on that will place a bet at these odds. The maximum bet allowed is quite restricted though I think.

Might not be Villa related, but I do remember someone on here mentioning that we were trying to sign Martinez from Arsenal a few weeks back...

Depends on cost. He's much better than Nyland for sure, but he's not much better than average, either.

i dont know much about martinez, but from the few highlights of games i have seen, he looked a top notch goalkeeper.

for anyone who doesnt know much about John Swift. (i would spend 8m on him, good squad depth)

It's funny how he looks simultaneously a little clumsy yet incredibly deft.

I wonder how he'd stack up against PL midfielders, as he was literally walking through those lot.

yeah he does look pretty skillful while also looking like an unstable giraffe 😜

Looks like a good player though, as i said, i wouldnt buy him with a view as a nailed on starter, but i would definately be willing to spend 8m ish on him as a squad player, who if good enough could play some games, or even push for a start? (as long as we can spare 8m ish without it impacting other key signings)

worth a shot imo.

Think we're interested in taking him on loan.

Yeah, I agree. He is one of those players who ends up doing better than you expect he will when he starts running at the opponent. Pretty useful.
