Not a great contribution then. He has been very poor in terms of Performance . He actually has a lot of ability but it just didnt work last year

I dont want them anywhere near the starting 11. We need another striker. There must.be better than Origi They both provided crucial goals and assists throughout the season, we paid £9m for El Ghazi and £8.75m for Trezeguet. That is nothing in today’s inflated market. We’d be incredibly lucky to sign someone better than Origi in my opinion

ferguson1
Tin hat time, but I honestly think Chris Smalling would provide fantastic experience and composure next to Mings. Never saw much of him at Roma, but by all accounts he was very good. Konsa and Hause as back up, would make us healthy at CB. Sell/loan Chester and Engels. It needs to be proper proven players like Cahill would have been last summer, not these journeymen type looking for a last pay day that were never particularly good in the first place Those players listed above didn't cost much though. With Nkamba, Wesley, Trez, Guilbert , Kallinic - that's approx £60m with little to show. You can see why Suso got the boot and the directive from the board for more proven players came about. Popular Post sne
We need players who will help us keep possession higher up the pitch for longer periods and who will able to win back the ball higher up the pitch. We need more pace and better mobility. We defended too deep for most of the season and a lot of that was down to us not being able to maintain pressure or the ball in the opponents half. We lost the ball while half of the team where in transition and it made us too easy to break against. 1 or 2 passes and they were through on goal. Or we gave the ball back even before that happened. Looked better during the restart when the average tempo was much lower and we had more to play for than our opponents but we really need at least 1 much higher quality wide player, 2 if Grealish moves or goes back into central midfield (hope he doesn't) ideally a talent upgrade in attack and a different type of CM to what we have. A more experienced CB and at least competition at the wide back positions. And then there is all the other areas where we might need cover. Exiting couple of weeks coming up. Hope we manage to get some "too good for us" level players in.
useless
Origi is another who's stats don't look that impressive, but when you look closer he has a very good goals to minutes ratio. Would be a very decent signing.

As for a striker, there must be better. Mitrovic Abraham would be preferable.
