Suppose it depends how much we plan to spend, i can't see it being another 100m+ though personally so i think theres areas that are in far more need of upgrades than LB. Targett is a decent lower half left back and Taylors got 1 year left for backup.

Don't mind the idea of McCarthy but he'll be on £45k a week at palace absolutely minimum. This will be a last big move for him so he'll probably want about £60-70k. Three year contract for him takes the whole deal to around £15m.

No worries if there's more to spend.

McCarthy - NO!

There is no point signing players as back ups, the current player can be the back up this is why we need to spend everything we have on a small amount of players it nearly guarantees progress and as someone mentioned a few pages back it is the wages that eventually takes up all the revenue in this league so signing him for 5 years on a 3 year deal takes up £15,000,000 with no sell on value, just NO.

I don't think the person you are quoting is saying something mad, he is an ok backup for the one year left on his contract when you have much more pressing FIRST CHOICE issues to fix like a striker and two wingers of high quality.

If there is any truth in that..i just want to say SMITH OUT💩

It's Daily Heil so total bollocks. Have that got any transfer rumours right in advance since NSWE took over?

I do laugh though

Some Villa fans: We need PL experienced players!!!

(linked to PL experienced player)

Some Villa fans: No, not that one. He's shit!!!!

Dunno if it’s legit but...

we really must learn our lesson from the Drinkwater move.

What a complete & utter disaster.

Prem experience is not always all it’s cracked up to be...

What do you think we need to bring in then?

Well to be fair the drinkwater move seemed like an absolute desperation move to add something to the midfield. I doubt this McCarthy thing is legit.

If I had 100 million and paper figures are correct.

Inanacho 25m
Sarr 35m
Eze 20m
Stones 20m

Sell Engels

Get rid of if possible Kalanic, Nyland, Jota, Lansbury, Hogan and Bree.

Watford paid 13m for Sarr. He's not worth near 3 times that

They paid 30 million and it was reported in a paper today that Crystal Palace are interested in buying him for 40 million.

Even so, do you disagree with my choices?
