I think we'd need to strengthen our defense, if anything.

Sort of agree completely, but the Grealish having a minor knock just scares the crap out of me. I never want to see AEG in the Prem again. And Traore looks a million miles off pace.

Are there any obvious championship CB talents?

Me too. Injury to Konsa or Mings and we’re ****.

Not saying you are wrong but  surprised you think that after the very few times we have seen him.

Yeah probably. He is undoubtedly a very talented player, but there must be a reason as to why his agent has not been able to engineer a move away from the Championship for him, especially if the asking price is "only" around £18m-£25m. Far worse players have moved for far more. Although maybe not as many in the Covid-19 economy.

I suspect that they would want near to what they got from us for Ollie. If they had been willing to have done business at £17m/18m, I'm sure he would have gone somewhere already. Could be West Ham are underbidding to suggest an interest to their supporters, who are far from happy with their lack of transfer activity.

With the Jan window open in a matter of weeks I think we are saving some funds to see where we are come then. Just a hunch.

Hoping this is the case. Late start means more games in the second half, assess the squad for the first part and reinforce in jan where necessary.

He has just changed his agent this last two weeks so I would imagine that might be part of the hold up, The Porn Bros of  Wet Spam always offer very low prices, in the hope that one club might fall for it, unfortunately they have picked the wrong club to mug off, as we usually get what we ask for, it could also be that some clubs are waiting until the last minute to play their hand, a bit like poker!!.

It is rumored from this end that he is willing to wait his time until the right club/offer comes in January, and that's only about 11 weeks away, I'm sure he can manage financially until then, In the meantime he will keep playing for us, and hopefully enhancing himself in the shop window for the January sales.

Doesn't surprise me as the former agent didn't manage to sort out a move for him while the regular window was open.

I'm no @Villan4Life but Joe Rodon has been linked to quite a few PL teams in the recent weeks. there are probably a few others but thats the main one who came to mind

I used to be really keen on him but not so sure anymore. Not convinced by his character based on what I saw on Instagram. Any justification in me thinking that?

Rodon is the one catching the eye at present but would be expensive and there are one or two others that would probably still be an improvement on Hause:

Nathan Collins

Lloyd Kelly

Terence Kongolo

I know not many rate Chris Mepham on here after the other night, but he’s young (22 years) and has the ability to improve.
