Fwiw I think he might have a rather good season if he stays with Atletico. They have a very interesting team and with Morata gone him and Suarez will likely play a fair bit between them.

10 goals in the last three seasons.....

I just worked it out he has managed to play 39 full games worth of minutes in that time.... please let me pay a player 45 million pounds, get 13 games a year out of him and a 1 in 4 goal rate.....

Don’t know about everyone else but I’m absolutely buzzing right now.

I hope it doesn’t come back to bite me on the arse come May but I really feel like we’re heading back toward being a top 6-7 club again. I’m finding it really hard to find a negative about us at the moment.

There are a couple of posters you could ask for help on that.

usually on the money this dude

Apparently there is a gentleman's agreement between Watford and another PL club (assuming Man Utd if they don't get Sancho). If that doesn't materialise then Sarr will be available on deadline day. I guess that might be our Plan B if Rashica doesn't come.

You don't actually think that deal is possible do you? I mean without us all having to give away an internal organ, you are aware of Daniel Levy? He probably has a deal lined up to sell him back to Fulham for £80m...

**** Levy, He is no longer the force that he once was, Apparently Celtic are in talks with them for a loan deal.

Diego Costa is earning £300k/week at Atletico Madrid. He's not going to come here to be cover for Watkins or to be a guarantied starter for that matter. Move along.

Spoil sport......👍

Don't forget the deadline for EFL transfers is later so this can stay on the back burner.

I like Preece but he has had very little before anyone else so far.

I know a lot don't like Nixon, but he does seem to have contacts with agents. He gets a lot of Champ -> Prem stuff right, even though some pretend he gets nothing right. I'm not a big fan at all of how he tweets but he definitely gets info, maybe nothing at all about Villa of course. Percy is of course the main guy.

Did anywhere have the Barkley signed story before the official site this morning btw? Didn't see any.

If we really are in for Sarr, it would appear Bremen/Rashica have screwed themselves out of an opportunity.

Wonder if we could get a good young left back on loan also?

LW and LB ( Even if they are only top prospects or on loan) would be our best transfer window in probably a decade!

How many is too many? If we have Traoré and Barkley in, where do we put Sarr or Rashica? I'm worried about too many new faces too soon in the same area of the park.

so, with 5 days left (internationally), we are looking like this:

                  Martinez

Cash - Konsa - Mings - Targett

     McGinn - Luiz - Barkley

Traore - Watkins - Grealish

up to something plotting GIF

Subs are a thing...

I agree though if there is money to spend then other areas of the team such as a centre back are more important after today’s signing.

Also on Sarr he plays on the right where we just signed Traore

Spurious Villa link-Bill Curbishley managed The Who, who was Alan Curbishley's older brother.

Still does. He has also managed Judas Priest, Robert Plant & Jimmy Page. Produced the films, Tommy & McVicar and served a prison term for armed robbery in the 60s. (I set this as a quiz question for my mates a few weeks ago).
