See. Still ignores the fact he never seen Traore play yet keeps his agenda

Didn't know you had to watch players for a full game to have an opinion.

Never watched Freddy Adu for a full game. Still think he's shit.

Agree that we could really do with a strong, physical midfielder to help out (especially in the tougher games) with some aerial strength too. This article is worth checking out & I wonder if we could get any of these players:

https://totalfootballanalysis.com/data-analysis/finding-new-defensive-midfielder-for-spurs-data-analysis-statistics

Some will be in high demand and chased by the top clubs but there are other good shouts too.

Maybe Bakayoko on loan? Alvarez? Rongier?

Grujic may be a good signing for us & we have been linked.

A strong, physical presence in MF would ensure we aren’t overpowered or too lightweight. It’s something we definitely lack in the squad atm.

Yes, they started their career there.

The minute they showed the slightest bit of promise, they were gone for a bigger challenge.

Ergo... Mickey Mouse league.

point being - scoring a shitload of goals in sub standard league does not a world class player make.

Spending £40 MILLION on said player based on a scoring record from a sub standard league is  in itself lunacy - but to state that you would have him over Tammy?  Based on what? A bunch of youtube videos where he scores for fun against defenders probably at the level of the EFL div 2?

Take a punt at £20m? Ok maybe.

£40m? Choose him over Tammy? Give your head a wobble.

Ajax and Feyenoord have won more Euro competitions than we have. Players do start their careers there and then move on but when Alves broke the goalscoring record he was in 3rd place in the history books behind Romario and the original Ronaldo.

Its not a Mickey Mouse league by any stretch..

Lyon fans have watched him in over 50+ games.

They say he's shit. Are their opinions not valid?

Well we could say they are not valid if we look at their opinion on John Carew?

You have quite vocal opinions on matters you seem to lack a grasp of knowledge of

Don't think any Lyon fans wanted Carew out for his lack of ability. He had fallen out with Houllier and either of them had to leave. Their relationship had become toxic.

It's a different thing. Although Traore is rumoured to have attitude problems as well it's Lyon fans comments of his lack of ability that concerns me the most.

Cutting inside to the left being his only move. Very one dimensional, predictable and easy to defend against. One trick pony. Poor decision making. Terrible finishing and a shameful right foot. Doesn't sound too promising, does it?

No you’re right. I’m being unnecessarily unkind to the eredivisie.

and to be fair, Aberdeen and Celtic have won the same number of European competitions as us.  Doesn’t put the SPL on a level footing to the Premier League.

And Denmark and Greece have more Euros than England.

Oh, and Celtic have more European cups than arsenal, Man City, leicester, spurs and Chelsea combined.

Oh so now its a group of French fans' opinions and not yours?

To be fair though we sought out and listened to the (German) WB fans about their view on Rashica so we can’t have it both ways.

For the record I’m supportive of the move for Traore. Just over a year ago he was touted as being a £40m player, and one crap season where his manager has either not played him or played him out of position as a RB it’s no surprise his value has dropped to £17.5m.

So hopefully the club have decided that in the right team, right position and right coaching they can create value both on the pitch and off it.

Have you witnessed any of this? Stop making things up to make it fit your agenda

Very worrying from my standpoint i have zero optimism about this move and trezeguet may be the better option as far as im concerned
