Free transfer it looks like. Swansea might just want him off the books, they signed him when in the PL?

Can't see what use he'd have next season so could see us flogging him to a La Liga team for a couple of million.

He’s a bit of a free hit. He will likely not get many minutes and didn’t cost us anything but he’s shown he is capable of something from that season with Elbar.

Plenty on here were after another backup striker and now we have one.

Only question that needs answering is is he better than El Ghazi up front?

He'll be third choice and will be out on loan or given another free transfer in the summer.

Supposedly has significant wages for where they are (and the return they've got out of him) so they'll probably view losing the dead weight a bit quicker as good as money in the bag.

I saw a suggestion by a Swansea fan that if he hits a certain amount of goals for them he gets a bonus, which also explains why they stopped playing him after his and their good start to the season.

How did we end up trying to sign this lad!?

On recent form he's no where near good enough to be signing for a Premier League club.

We've obviously have no funds available, it must have been a close call between him and Adebayor. 😂

We also always complain that we want back up plans in place.

Well maybe we have been trying for multiple strikers all month knowing this was our final option on deadline day. Those didn’t come off, so we used the backup plan. We would all have complained if there was no backup plan, so let’s be happy there was. And maybe just maybe he will surprise us.

Worst case, he does nothing but cost wages, then we flog him couple million in summer as a premier league player which pays his wages so cost nothing for cover.

While not exactly piatek or another top rated forward, I think the limited gamble is to try and make sure we stay up. Next season it would be a start over and a further  50 to 100 million spent hopefully strengthening rather than just numbers.

I recon FFP has put a holt on the spending. We spent £130m in the summer and another £10m in January, if there is a limit we seem to have hit it.

Davis is a waste of space and should be offloaded, far too much indulgence of underwhelming youth at Villa. He's had chances and done nothing to demonstrate usefulness at champo nevermind prem league level.

Baston, meh and ditto enough to the above... will help with 11 asides in training at least.
