I hope everyone going to Wembley have a great day out, even if a win seems unlikely.

No matter how unlikely success looks like, I’ll be watching, and the closer we get to kick off, the harder it will be to ignore the thought «what if?»

UTV! You never know.

I think DS will spring a couple of surprises in the starting 11 today.

I'm even hoping a surprise on the bench. (maybe McGinn)

McMinn hasn't made it according to Kendrick on Twitter

No matter the result I just want the 11 on the pitch to do us proud, Give it everything and not a repeat of the arsenal fa cup final

I bet you will be watching

I can't remember any game I felt less like watching. But I expect you're right - I'll probably crack and put it on. And instantly regret my decision.

How important winning today could be for the rest of our season. The momentum it would provide with the added incentive that we don't have to fear any team. If we can defeat a team who have just beaten Real Madrid in their own back yard, then that will certainly provide the confidence  to achieve our fight for Premier league survival.

That's how much we could gain from a victory today. Please, let it be.

UTV.

Just going to sit back and enjoy the moment. Villa walking out at Wembley is always a great feeling.

Yes, on paper we should lose this but it’s 11 v 11 for 90 minutes and anything can happen.

Hoping for a Grealish masterclass.

To be brutally honest, I have never been more un-excited for a cup final in my life.

The overriding feeling for me is just a fear that we are going to get absolutely battered.

Add that to the recent league form and I just feel flat as a pancake tbh.

Exactly the same for me. Even in '94 against a dominant treble chasing Man Utd, I was confident we could do it.

I'm literally dreading kick off. Its not nervous excitement, its pure fear of a battering.

I know i'm an old fanny and I would love to be proven wrong!

We had finished runners up in the league the season before.

Totally different circumstances. We had a bunch of top 6 finishes in the league in the 90's

Team should be:

                   Nyland

       Konsa Engels Mings

Guilbert Luiz Nakamba Targett

                 Grealish

            Davis Samatta

Team will probably be:

                     Nyland

         Konsa Mings Hause

Guilbert Drinkwater Luiz Targett

    El Ghazi Samatta Grealish

Drinkwater is cup tied.

No idea why you have him in your predicted team

We were mid table that season (agree we were 2nd the year before) but we'd just lost successive home games to Ipswich and Oldham (with a defeat to Leeds at Elland Road inbetween if memory serves).

We were a poor side that year, and the next, evidenced by Big Ron getting the tin tack 6 months later.

Anyway, UTV!

But on a whole the 90's was a good time being a Villa fan. A shame i didn't get to experience much of it.

Quite a few top 4 finishes. Established top flight side. A couple of trophies. Playing in Europe

Oh yes, good times. Barely missed a home game in the 90's. Some wonderful memories. :)

Well I'm not traveling to Wembley, but I am traveling.... Decided to take the plunge and go to the casino in the city to watch the game. 20 minute car ride, hour on the train and a short walk. Won't arrive in the city until midnight 😂

Bosnich Barrett God Teale Staunton Richardson Townsend Daley Atkinson Fenton Saunders

That team shits all over this current one by some considerable distance

Also Big Ron > Smith

Expecting a spanking. I'll take just not being completely embarrassed. If we score and keep the scoreline down it'll almost be a victory.

Anything less than four will be a remarkable achievement

Got a feeling this will be all done and dusted after 20 mins

Hoping Dean springs a surprise as we have virtually nothing to lose;

My team would be:

                         Nyland

Guilbert    Engels    Mings     Hause

Elmo        Luiz    Nakamba   Targett

                     Jack

               Samatta

Jack in a free role, elmo and Targett to get forward on break and whip in crosses for Samatta and Jack running in.

We can but dream but at least we should keep the score down as full backs wont get caught upfield and mid 2 can just sit in to close KDB
