Hopefully we can get some sort of fee for him but I doubt it. Recalling Sarkic seems a bit of a waste though.

Sarkic will be off out on loan again if we have three other fit keepers at the club (ie if Kalinic doesn’t leave or when Steer comes back). If not, we need three...

Saying we don't need another keeper is as good as saying that we didn't need to sign Heaton at the start of the season, because if Nyland is good enough now then he would have been good enougth then. But the truth is if it wasn't for him having one or two good games, nobody would be saying that we don't need another keeper. Maybe Nyland will be good enough, but we can't really afford to leave it to chance.

Nyland  has been good in his three appearances granted.

But let’s look at this opportunity closer.

A 37 year old (not really old for a goalkeeper) Who has played for Barca,Bayern,Liverpool and AC Milan.

And we are questioning his signing?

Couldn't agree more.

A keeper of his stature would life the whole camp.

Smith not denying the Reina link...

And confirming once again that we're looking at goalkeepers.

As we all know, we're keeping our cards close to our chest on our transfer business, which is understandable as we wouldn't want to drive up the prices of players that we're after. I'd say the journalists that typically cover Villa (even the ones like Percy, who is usually fairly accurate) and other domestic journalists (if we're shopping abroad as has been suggested) probably aren't hearing anything from our side, so any leaked info on actual transfers (not the clickbait stories that most outlets come out with) would surely be coming from the clubs that we're dealing with. Maybe Nicolò Schira's right about Reina, and possibly even right about Piatek, and maybe Percy isn't as informed on the latter as he usually is.

Swap bench in Milan for bench in Aston...

Reina might still have a house near Liverpool as I dont think he wanted to leave, might want to move closer to home

After an hour and a half, Pepe Reina's agent left the Rossoneri headquarters. Intercepted by our correspondent Daniele Longo, Quilon confirmed that there is still no agreement with the English when asked about the matter.

Strange signing, especially if rumours we are limited with FFP are to be believed.

Much rather any available wages funds would go towards new strikers, wingers & left back
