He looks very talented but extremely small and not up to it physically yet to me.  Probably needs another year or two of filling out, maybe a few months on the Ross McCormack diet would help.

I saw him not long ago down our local, he is bigger than he used to be, not the little kid anymore, said he's been grafting in the gym.

He is good, just Cook at Ipswich won't play him!!

How many 18 year olds are playing in League One right now?

Hes a talent that has to learn how to play mens football, that includes being strong and fast enough to play it as well as talent and experience. Ive already said it will be great for him to "slum" it down in League One.

If he makes more than 10 league appearances ill see it as an adequate loan. Hes already made 6 appearances across all comps. 36 league games to go, he will get his chance.

About 7 who've made an appearance actually, Barry included. Barry has however played the least amount of minutes compared to all of them

It shouldn't be all that surprising that he isn't seeing loads of minutes. You only have to look at the results of the JPT games involving u21 sides to see that. It was genuinely brilliant that our lads managed to win their game.

It's not a reflection of his ability. Few players his age are ready to play regularly for first teams, which is why it's so amazing whenever a teenager breaks through anywhere.

He looks good whenever he does get minutes, and the challenge of earning regular minutes will be great experience for him.

It's personal development too at that age. You move away (the club will likely ask him to do this without any family involvement) and learn to be an adult. I remember them saying this exact thing when we loaned Dominic Revan to Weymouth. Also, down in League One, you're gonna be mixing it with proper blokey-blokes, so that'll toughen him up a bit. He'll be learning in some way or another, be it mentally or just general life skills. Not waltzing into their first team will give him a bit of a reality check too; he'll know there's still work to do, and that's great for him and us.
