I never ever ever ever want to hear anyone say that Kodja should start up front ahead of anyone anymore - Lazy, weak, zero effort.

Seems like a lazy comment to me. Looks like the most likely at the moment.

It's all a bit tepid. Pretty even, but there's so little to it. You get the feeling that someone with a load of commitment could dominate it.

There's a definite air of not really wanting to be there at the moment

My take so far:-

  • We seem very rushed on the ball, more so than normal keeping tempo high
  • Kodjia is putting in a shift for a change. He must relish being the 'main man'
  • Landbury, Elmo nor Jota will make it at the top level
  • Taylor is very poor
  • Chester & Engels very composed. Good to have strength in depth somewhere on the pitch

I'm not happy with this at all. We should be exploring how our B players fit into the new system. Team second half should be 3-5-2:

Nyland
Engels, Chester, Hause
Elmo, Lansbury, Jota, Hourihane, Taylor
Kodjia, El Ghazi

Jota central, El Ghazi upfront. Neither of them are capable of playing as a winger in a 4-3-3.

We look like were doing American football drills when were defending, nobody actually tries to get the ball, just sideways running and running on the spot.

This is painful to watch lol.
