Don't need to be bigotry really, but I'm sure there's  a football fan who can give a true unpopular opinion.

I don't actually mind Man Utd.

...but it's true, I don't.

I rarely have a biscuit with my tea, and even more seldom do I dunk.

Wouldn’t feel inclined to dunk a chocolate biscuit as I think they’re too nice. My thinking is that something like a rich tea or a plain digestive are boring enough to warrant being livened up with a dunking.

biscuits are pretty much the only reason that I drink tea!

to sit and eat a biscuit without any context seems savage and uncouth. Plop a mug of tea beside them and i'm scoffing the lot with zero guilt or self-consciousness

We have a winner for most despicable opinion.  This will not be topped.

I can think of at least one club that would be worse.

I'd say at a guess it depends where you're from and who you grew up with

Man utd fans were always the worst of the bunch growing up, Liverpool had gone quiet but as adult I've realised theyre just as bad

Was in the office last month and a young kid probably mid 20s from Daventry referred to man utd as "we" I was done, no more football talk, don't need context or backstory or anything about his dad or family or historical roots anything, he's dead to me

They always have a pre-prepared explanation of an uncle or grandfather who was born in and around Salford or Greater Manchester hence the reason they support Manchester United never the fact they are glory, hunting, rocket polishers

I tortured one on a three card poker table in Vegas years ago, we got chatting and found out that he lived down the road from me but was a lifelong Manchester United supporter with the backstory. Rather than calling him his name I called him Salford for the duration of the time he spent at the table, thick clearing in the woods did not get the irony of it

I started supporting Villa in the early seventies, primarily due to glory hunting instincts. I play a long game.

I actually think @BOF has this nailed. Not minding Man Utd is the best way, they’re not a top club anymore so yeah, just kinda neutral on them. It must be frustrating for them that kids will refer to United, and mean Newcastle.

They were once the biggest club in England, now they’re the second biggest club in the town they’re closest to.

Standard answer for brummie reds. I'd rather they just admit they support the club because they were the best at the time when they got interested in football.

My junior school was full of Liverpool fans - was just coming to the end of the dominant spell - Barnes, Beardsley, Rush, Aldridge. No Man Utd or phantom Salford based relatives then!

Never really understood this attitude.  I know Villa fans around Nottingham who have never been anywhere near Birmingham but have family connections and therefore support the club.  I don't consider them to be faux or dead to me :D

They support villa because they're fools like the rest of us not because it was the easiest option 😂

I'm not overly fussed by supporting your local club but when it's blatant glory hunting like with brummie reds I've just got no respect for them especially seeing as from my experience as has been discussed many times here so I think it's other posters experience too brummie reds are weirdly gobby, I wouldnt expect nottingham based villa fans to be the same, most mondays they'd be very quiet

Even worse is my mate/colleague refers to United as 'I' and 'me', like 'I'm up to 3rd in the league' etc.  Even funnier is I recall driving home from work with 5 Live on when they went 3-0 in the first half or whatever it was against Brentford and he said he was giving up on football and United, Ten Hag out and the rest.  Summed up their fanbase, though he is from Jamaica so I can understand the not supporting your local team bit.

....Hudson Hawk is a film which is just daft, good fun and I really enjoy it.

Well, if you insist.

I've never seen it, and I have no idea who's in it, or what it's about.

Booking a slot at the tip is a far better system than what we had before covid

My local tip still has the booking system but they don’t seem to enforce it. Last couple of times I’ve just turned up and it’s been fine.
