I thought he’d be out of the match day squads initially as he needed to build his fitness but he actually has a knee injury. How has he got injured when he’s only played about 100 minutes of football all year?

I’m quite surprised Levy has done this high risk deal unless he has something related to appearances in there which reduces the payments if he’s injured.

He featured in both of wales’ games a couple of weeks ago, looked way off in terms of match sharpness but no injury and he played the full 90 in the second of the two games.

Maybe my app is a bit off then, it’s suggesting he has a knee injury.

Edit: A quick google says he picked up a “knock” to the knee in international duty that’ll keep him sidelined for a month. He must be made out of glass if he needs a month to recover from a knock nobody noticed at the time.

Out for another “few weeks” with a calf injury.

Spurs would be mad to make it permanent. He's not half the player he was and he's on a fortune.

They are in the fortunate position to have a world class striker, and several other top quality attacking options already.

Currently running at just under £2m per appearance for Spurs this season.

It was a very un-Spurslike signing. It is going exactly how most people predicted.
When fit he’s having a limited impact, probably difficult to say he’s doing better than whoever’s spot in the team he’s taking. Then also spending a lot of time out injured.
He was injured and unmatch fit when he arrived. Had a different knee injury and now a calf injury all in 3 and a bit months.

Turns like milk. Whether he says fit or not he is absolutely gone.

Still, at least we don't have to hear all the old school British pundits who haven't watched him since 2016 screaming for anyone and everyone to bring him back home. He's wuuurrrld class pedigree. 4 CLs!

The usual lot that keep screaming that players 'just need games' when it is clear as anything that are finished. Maybe it's an ex player thing to defend them or maybe just not being able to accept the truth.

15 rounds into the season and he's played a total of 160 minutes for Spurs. I'm as shocked as anyone that he's managed that much tbh.

That's just under £4m or about £24k per minute on the pitch give or take.

He’s being used more in Europa League isn’t he?

Yeah he has 393 minutes there over 6 games so about 65 mins / game. He also has 45 mins in the EFL cup.

Maybe the British press will stop painting Zidane as some insane bully now.

Bale is finished.

It’ll be like Pogba, after 3 months of poor to average performances he’ll score a decent goal and they’ll proclaim “he’s back!”. Bale himself will cup his ear as he celebrates the goal as a message to those who wrote him off. His agent will also pipe up on Talk Sport about how badly his client is being treated.

Then he’ll be back to doing nothing apart from picking up niggling injuries and enormous wages.

If you're not in the CL and need to tell everyone you're a big club...

That's why he had man utd written all over him for so long, hes a "were still a big boy honest" signing

For as shit as he's been and the suggestion that he'll be a waste of money I'm sure in some boring board meetings levy will be able to explain why it made sense due to shirt sales in wisconsin or something, saw a thing earlier saying that spurs had a 39% increase in twitter traffic in 2020, that kind of thing will blow your kind after youve had a beer and talk football to your mates but that's where we are right now
