Disagree, we’ve been awful but we are in touching distance of safety.  A strong midfielder, a winger and striker and we are back at the races.  We just have to survive this season.

I’d take 17th now, I would’ve said that at the start of the season

That’s all I’ve wanted.  As the third best team coming up that’s a massive achievement.  People argue the money we’ve spent but we had to replace many and we needed new players to settle and click together quickly.  I knew it would be incredibly hard season but the last 3 games have shocked me how bad we are but we still keep going and aim for 17th.

Problem is that will cost us a lot in wages and transfer fees and if we go down... it’s all a gambling act again. I think it’s time to not act reckless by spending premier league money, accept that relegation will happen and plan accordingly.

Yup - it's far from a foregone conclusion and we can definitely stay up if we have the right, positive approach.

I sure as hell hope that we are not waving the white flag just yet

What?  Are you crazy or just trolling

A couple of decent results and we are fine

I’m thinking you are trolling, no way have you given up half way through the season

I’m being realistic. “A couple of decent results” isn’t.

You certainly aren’t.  A second half of the season with 18 points, the same as the first half plus one more win in there somewhere which gets us to 39 points and we’ll probably be safe.

No, you're not. We literally just got a decent result 2 days ago. It can happen again.

There’s a reason they are bottom and lost the most games though. We still played crap against them, even. That’s our level currently, everyone else is better.

He looks like a very good player, but it's a big step up. Less so to the Championship of course.

You are forgetting.... i suggested on here  both James Maddison & Callum Wilson when both was in League 1 for Coventry on here ;)

I knew both could step up and i feel same about Toney. He is best player in League 1 by some distance.

Well I think Watford players dicked around under 2 managers this season as they demanded a British manager. I dont think they are among the worst squads in the league

just a bunch of selfish clearings in the woods
