People said similar about Angel early on and Benteke with only 6 goals by January. Oh and there's that guy that stole a living with a single goal a season in his last 3 seasons and max of 9 in his last 8

Don't bite - just leave it alone.

Our striking options are poor, personally think Wes is the best striker at the club (could care less whether people agree), kodja was 30 with 2 major ankle surgeries  in 3 years and never premier league quality in the first place.

At least we have depth and all 3 have age on their side. And they all offer something different.

Holy sh*t - no wonder we lost interest!

Yes I agree, those figures are absolute madness. He appears to be good but hasn’t kicked a ball at this level, could be great but could also be a huge and expensive mistake. If he didn’t agree to a relegation clause they’ll lose him in the summer if they get relegated.

They may be stuck with him if they get relegated which could be worse for them. It’s too big as gamble

What's sad is that the formation switch, and some of our recent attacking performances would have suited him down to the ground IMO. I have no doubt he would have bagged a couple.

Sods law for him as he won't get the monkey, of being a donkey off his back from detractors unless he hopefully returns to full fitness and gets a chance in a firing side again

Warnock on Sky said that his source stated Bowen’s wages are £50k.

Don’t know anything about ffp but Man Utd spent most money in summer and have now spent another £60m .......so how come we cant spend another £15-20m ???

Because it's based on how much money you've made and United have made quite a bit more money than we have recently.

What EXACTLY is Wes good at then? He can't head it, pass it or score with it so what am I missing?

The only way to read this free transfer signing of Borja is that there's two possibilities now.

1) we got no money to invest due to FFP

2) we are saving what we can spend on another player

Take a pick.

Announce Benerama

LAMPTEY JOINS BRIGHTON

Chelsea defender Tariq Lamptey has joined Brighton on a three-and-a-half-year contract. The youngster was out of contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

hmm.......maybe we should have sniffed around this one?

3) we won’t be held to ransom and bribe players through wages to join us.

4) Players we wanted weren't available.

We've got no money to invest due to FFP. This has been echoed plenty
