Gordan Cowans came back to Villa and was class in his 2nd spell. and so did steve staunton. I back Benteke to come in and do a job. back in the day Some of his link up play with weiman was breathtaking. So his hold up play will generate loads more goals for the midfielders. If it's one striker out of the lot I'd of liked to seen join us it was him, let's hope we don't regret not going all out to sign this one as well. I fear a trend will be starting here that were not going for decent strikers who are capable of the job in so many ways only to go after someone who comes in and doesn't work. Although his lack of actual assists can be explained by the fact that seemingly no one in Palace can finish for shit(okay maybe Zaha). Like I've said several times before, there is value in Benteke as a guy who assists the goalscorers instead of being the main goal scorer himself.
