Reduce the wage bill maybe? They spent a lot in the summer.

Perhaps, but loaning us a player in a position we are desperate to fill is bizarre considering we are relegation rivals.
Can't see it myself.

Because he’s now way past his best?

That's certainly the obvious conclusion, isn't it. They watch him in training every day; maybe they've observed a decline in quality and sharpness over the last few months.

Obviously I hope not, but that has to be the concern.

it should be newcastles style of play that puts him off rather than the city, they hardly get a sniff of the ball, play an isolated one up top, have a couple of shots a game

Tbf this sounds like us in the last few matches.

Giroud linked with Newcastle as well.

I'll be fuming if he goes there over us. They are guff, he won't get the ball!

West Ham as well.

I did rate Murray, haven't watching him in a long time though. He's a proper striker though.

Probably BS, but really we are not in any position to turn our noses up at strikers right now.
Grant Holt himself would be a start.

it's so depressing how true this actually is

Britt Assombalonga is among the strikers that the West Midlands club are reportedly looking at to replace the big forward.

Turkish newspaper Takvim report Aston Villa have made an official offer for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida, however, the Black Eagles have rejected it.

If we are going for Vida you have to think we are thinking of playing 3 central defenders more often. He's a good defender, goes to ground a bit more than I would like but might be what we need at the heart of a three with Mings on the left and Konsa on the right.

No chance, watched him a few times the past 18 months and he has been nothing short of abysmal everytime.
