robby b 128 Report post Posted October 12 I'm nervous about this one already because of its importance, with Man City and Liverpool coming up afterwards but also the difference between two wins from nine and three from nine! Yikes! :s If we manage to make it three from nine that will be a relief and a decent start to the season (and equal our number of wins from the entire 2015/16 season, good grief!). I live very near Brighton so will try my best to get a ticket for our game at the Amex in January, fingers crossed. Come on you beautiful big yellow cats yeeaaahhhh!!!!! (COYBBYCY). I expect at least two of each of those per player per game!" Just kidding SGC, but surely he cant be dropped given its Brighton at home. If we were playing a top top team then maybe. I think it would also go against putting in performances to prove your worthiness for first team spot.

Wow, if anything highlights the difference in situations here that fact does! We are streets away from that team, thank god.

But for now I think Conor has earnt his start.

Demitri_C 10,368 Report post Posted October 13 Dontvthink this will be easy. You don't beat spurs 3-0 if your crap We need to ensure we don't get too ahead if ourselves like we did against bournmouth. 3

StefanAVFC 16,080 Report post Posted October 15 It's too early to say whether CH is, or ever will be Prem quality. But to drop him from the squad entirely after his performance at Norwich is crazy talk.

flashingqwerty 643 Report post Posted October 15 With the harder fixtures coming, i see this as a must win game. Can't see us getting anything from the 3/4 after brighton, so will need as many points on the board as possible going into them. With any luck we can pick up some though
John 3,241 Report post Posted October 15 Brighton have never won at Villa Park. We know all too well that such records are there to be broken, but hopefully this one will remain intact after Saturday's game. Overall, we have won 9 and have drawn 6 of the 18 league meetings, that there have been between the two clubs. Brighton last beat us at The Goldstone Ground 39 years ago. Who would have thought that we would go on to be champions after that? I must admit, that I had a doubt or two myself. A win will take us 2 points ahead of our visitors. Let's stretch our unbeaten home run to 4 games and get up to mid table with another win. Just do it for us Villa!
It's Your Round 1,653 Report post Posted October 15 I’m feeling pretty positive about this one, how can you not be after our last performance? Yeah I know Villa are always capable of ‘doing a Villa’ but it just feels different now. I can see Neil Maupay getting the opener, before we click and go on to show our class. 3-1 Villa! and no mention of VAR
