I think formations tend to change with the dynamics of the game.....Its static, when teams start a game , but then tend to transpose, with the ebb and flow of a game.

Yes of course, but you still have to note the intended change for those interested!

Only seen the highlights.

Folk saying Norwich ravaged with injuries, but not our concern, sadly, we have out job to do, not be concerned for them.

However- points I noticed negative and positive.FWIW

  • Norwich standing off in total contrast from Last weeks Burnley....is poor from them.
  • Wesley favours that near post, missed that threat in recent years.....took his goals well
  • Great steal from Targett for Conors goal.
  • Great result and quality goals away from home
  • Incremental improvement is a most encouraging thing......shows the BHM work is working.
  • good crosses.
  • Nakamba and Luiz starting to contribute to the overall effectiveness....great to see.
  • Didn't HAVE to rely on McGinn so much
  • goals from all over the team.
  • possible 6 pointer

Its sounds absolutely crazy to say this tonight, but we need to tighten up against the teams like Burnley......Norwich were open, so our strategy tonight is hard to argue with...however,

Great win!!!!

Toss up between Wes, Grealish and Marv for MOM for me. Grealish just edged it. He was dangerous and determined and ran his nuts off. Took a superb goal and really gelled beautifully with the players around him.

Wes' two goals were well deserved and I loved his work rate today - especially the fact that when he lost the ball a couple of times he chased and tried to win it back.

Marvelous was also brilliant today -  I love the way he breaks up play all over the pitch but I  also reckon his passing is superb.

We also look much better balanced with Hourihane out there. He wasn't dominant today, but having him in there doing a bit more of the donkey work frees up Grealish to do Grealish things.

Norwich were pretty bad today ain defence but they do play some nice stuff in the final third. They are very well drilled but our defence did a great job of squeezing them off the ball.

All in all a very unexpected outcome.

And Dougie's goal was pure porn. Looking forward to seeing mant more of those.

Glad to see people appreciated marvelous great work and giving him motm.

Looks like we finally have our formation sorted out. We have real quality in midfield and this is the best way to play to our stengths. Grealish looks so much better in this free role. Unfortunately this is only possible with targett playing as he offers the quality out wide when grealish leaves him the space.

Hopefully this is the beginning of something special.

On a side note how can someone stamp on someone's knee and get no card?

Nakamba is the player we’ve needed for about 10 years, I do not say that lightly.

Gueye almost became it but he didn’t seem to settle as quickly so we didn’t see the best of him - that despite him being our best player whilst here.

Nakamba could easily be a £50M+ player in 6 months time, class act.

Our new Boateng

The irony of a DM being a defensively described player......that's usually where attacks start......they turn the ball over.

I am biased, because its my favourite position to watch, its the engine room for me and a crucial role.

Yeah, he could be another Gueye or Kante.

Nakamba was brilliant. 10/10.

However Targett got my motm vote. He makes so much happen down that left flank. Brilliant transformation to our side.

I gave it to Nakamba, but agree Targett was excellent and deserves praise. He looks better than Guilbert at the moment.

Should have had the clean sheet.

Can't understand what McGinn was trying to do with that free kick. Mings was lazy with his clearence and dropped Heaton right in the brown stuff.

Roy Keane would be going mental with the switch off in the last 5 mins

Yes, it was terrible demolishing Norwich 5-1.

SMITH OUT!
