mikeyp102
Bit of a slow start from England, but now we’ll kick on. Second half will pull away easily
theboyangel
Have to love hearing clear explanations of decisions by referees. England building momentum after the initial Tongan physical showing!
mikeyp102
Correct decision not to send him off for that tackle. Watson was already so low, defender couldn’t have done anything
JB
Thoroughly enjoyed that half of rugby. Hard, fair, competitive contest played, it seems, in the right spirit. Also, brilliantly refereed and the common sense seen in the use of TMO a case study of how VAR should be implemented.
theboyangel
Way too many handling errors today from England. Appreciate it’s the first game but this needs to be cut out ahead of the next game. tonga have successfully taken the tempo out of the game. mikeyp102
Handling has been disappointing today. There was 50 points there for England if they had executed moves successfully. Flankers were pretty quiet and break the line as much as expected. Still a bonus point winning start isn’t too bad
Johnnyp
No major surprises from the 1st round of games in the respective pools. Thought Scotland might run us a bit closer but couldn't live with us granted they were poor. Wales will find that Georgian pack a tough nut to crack but ultimately they'll be too good . mikeyp102
With such a short turn around no surprise England have made so many changes. I am surprised to see Billy V playing though, thought he would be the main one to be rested.

theboyangel
Wow great performance by Uruguay to beat Fiji. That’s the beauty of World Cups. Phenomenal effort by the whole team! Makes me want to watch the 1993 film Alive now.

Johnnyp
Throws the pool wide open. I still think Scotland will beat Japan, we were so naive with our kick game today when we had the ball in midfield. Simply can't kick ball down to their FB and expect them to send it back. They'll run it from anywhere. Credit to them though. I counted 2 kickable penalties they gave away. That's incredible.
Zatman
Deserved by Japan, Ireland predictably shitting the bed in a World Cup isn't a surprise Said before its like the England 2000s Golden Generation. All hype

Look how massive the Scotland win was now. If we lost we'd be out now. Japan are funny. Great, emerging side but could conceivably lose to Samoa and Scotland in their remaining games.
