Another day, another Fulham comparison.

Karren Brady is dumb as ****, ever seen her on the Apprentice? Wondering around like a lemming and making weird judgements which don't relate to what is happening.

Not sure if it’s been said on the thread before but on one of the Sky Sports Transfer programmes I think it was Rob Dorset who said out of 6 newly promoted teams who spent big over £100 million after being promoted only Fulham got relegated last season, every other one survived their first season. So to me it shows a complete lack of knowledge from these so called pundits who are only comparing us to Fulham and conveniently forgetting the other 5 ... (don’t know who they are by the way will have to do a bit of digging)

Counting Mings and El Ghazi, plus Guilbert who was signed in January, our starting line-up today probably isn't going to look dramatically different to what it was at the tail end of last season anyway.

Imagine thinking signing players to a small squad is possibly a bad thing.

The suggestion that Fulham did anything wrong with the amount of players they bought in, and their spend, is stupid in itself.

It just so happens they had a bad season and went down. Should we have not signed anyone and be doing a Cardiff instead?

I think the rhetoric has changed a bit over the past week, even on talksport yesterday evening they were quite complimentary of us,  even Gough was saying we’ll do well, not that he knows anything.

The best way to shut up the Fulham comparisons is to get off to a good start over the first four or five games

I bet norwich wished they had 'done a Fulham' this morning. At least they might have had some hope of staying up.

They still have a very good chance imo and will probably finish above us. Looked ok in spells yesterday against the European champions.

With players like Krul and Grant Hanley, they're ****. Curiously decided not to invest and will pay for it.

Can't write Norwich off after one game, if so not really sure what that says for our chances when they finished eighteen points above us last season.

How is this statement even remotely worthwhile when we've signed so many players, we're literally a different team altogether.

They finished 18 points above us so 6 wins. How many games did we have Steve Bruce? How many games was Grealish out?

When Smith took over they were only three points ahead of us. We've signed a lot of players but that can bring it's own problems, no guarantee that we're suddenly going to become a better team than Norwich. If we lose today, which is more than possible, then hopefully are aren't written off in the same way.

Well......every team that has been promoted and spent north of 50 mill has stayed up, with the exception of Fulham, so the anti Villa Zealots  choose to use this exception to champion their distaste.....desperate, desperate, desperate attempt.

The mind boggles.
