Just a quick update on the Premier League Cup.

In our group Doncaster beat Portsmouth 1-0 last night.

I can’t find any fixture lists for (unsurprisingly) us, or Donny & Pompy.

Only Exeter City have published theirs

Quote

The dates for Exeter City’s fixtures are as follows:

•Thursday, October 3 (7pm): Aston Villa (H)

•Wednesday, November 6 (7pm): Portsmouth (A)

•Tuesday, November 26 (7pm): Doncaster Rovers (H)

•Thursday, January 16 (2pm): Aston Villa (A)

•Tuesday, February  4 (7pm): Portsmouth (H)

•Tuesday, February 18 (7pm): Doncaster Rovers (A)

Judging by the KO time, I assume January Villa-Exeter game will be at the training ground.

Anyone know how they're getting on? I can't find anything on YouTube sadly

The boggies website states the match is ‘postponed’.

The other round 7 matches have completed, and it's a mixed bag for us.  At least a win would now put us into 5th spot & the playoffs.

West Ham & Man U continue winning at the top but Stoke have joined Utd and are in some form themselves.  Swansea move above Reading into 5th with both West Brom & Villa loitering with intent with the game in hand.

Fulham 2 - 4 Middlesbrough
Man Utd 2 - 0 Norwich City
West Ham 4 - 2 Sunderland
Newcastle Utd 0 - 1 Swansea City
Reading 0 - 4 Stoke City

Premier League Cup fixtures have been updated.  Just in time too!  First up is a trip to Exeter on Thursday evening.

A night to forget for the young Lions, losing 3-0 to Exeter City.

Exeter played a few of the first team players but Villa never really got going.

Tyreik Wright was one of the few to come away with any credit tonight, looked very lively and anything positive Villa did went through him. Suliman looked ok but came off at half time. Colin Odutayo also looked good in last 20mins when he came on, creating more in that period than the team did in the previous 70 combined.

jamie Searle had a difficult night in goal, made a hash of several clearances and didn't look comfortable with the ball at his feet.

520 in attendance, I would say over a hundred were Villa. Gregg Evans also there and Mark Delaney got a bit of light hearted stick from a few Villa in 2nd half.

What do we know about the two Sohna brothers?

I saw quite a lot of them last season, they’re both versatile and can play multiple positions. They have represented England at youth level, Harrison and Myles, they can play in defence and midfield
