Five Ken McNaughts
Yep, that's a rather disappointing crowd. Seems the record attendance memo didn't quite make it to B6. But a 2-1 win and three wins from three keeps Villa Women joint top (second on goal difference). If this does actually turn into a promotion campaign, I am sure any Spring matches at Villa Park will pull in a few more.

Must do, because I heard the Tottenham ladies got themselves promoted last season and then made 8 new signings.

I think the match arsenal played you had to pay and they got a large crowd, but yes the Chelsea match was free.
LakotaDakota
City/Utd you also had to pay but it was £7 for an adult & 3 kids. the reality is that very few people other than friends/family/local schools give a shit, even with tickets costing £2 or less

Dave-R
Is great Gemma got manager of the month. They should train with our senior squad at times, I think the Ladies would pick up some very good experience from it.

sidcow Posted September 15, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted September 15, 2019 As they won 6 - 0 away at Crystal Palace I can only assume Kevin Friend was not refereeing today. 1

Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted October 12, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted October 12, 2019 We are romping our division and look dead certs to go up. Now you might be bothered about that or you might not, but it's yet another little indication of the way in which our owners want to see this club represented. It's a lovely little sign of our underlying health.
TRO
I have never really understood it properly....so bear with me. After seeing the last summers world cup, I was quite surprised and impressed to be honest. Which led me to thinking, why don't we all have a women's team attached to the main football clubs. They play at Home when the men play away from home, pardon the pun. As I understand it the Women's teams are not attached to the football clubs......maybe they should be. villalad21
Football is a business no matter how you look at it. Business people are interested in making money. Female teams generate much less income than men teams. That just a sad reality. For many owners it just isn't worth the investment. That being said I'm glad Aston Villa got a women team. Hopefully they get promoted. Edited October 12, 2019 by villalad21
