It's a word to describe a poor or run down area. A slum or a shithole.

Not sure I would be jumping to conclusions on this one just yet folks...

That’s the way I read it. He’s had a great season in the premier league. He’s simply stating he’s made it from the slums if you like.

Like @KenjiOgiwara alluded to above, whoever we get will likely have to gel and settle with this team which could take some time so we'll be starting from square one. Plus, for 25m I'm not sure we can find a better player than post-lockdown Luiz. Really shit situation.

True, but we might have to spent more than that. The £25 million should contribute to us spending more.

Ultimately he helped us stay up and we've made a profit. Its not ideal but as a club we must have known this was the chance.

If he goes we get about 10 mil profit so its bad but these things happen.

If there is any truth to this.

It gives us money to sign one of the young midfielders I don;t know about which seem to be very highly rated on here?

Mckennie etc?

Big shame if he does go.

Do City have any other fringe players that we could take?

De Bruyne.....no harm trying.😀

I believe every cloud has a silver lining.

Be gutted if he goes but sooner or later it was gonna happen.... Maybe this is where the Weston Mckennie fits in 🤷‍♂️

Sometimes keeping a player for a year more makes alot of difference?

I heard in a whatsapp group from a City fan that his brother said something indirectly in twitter. Have I missed something?

Without reading into it too much, Rocinha is Brazil's biggest one.     :detect:

No idea of his origins, but I read that as the boy from the slums has won - a comment on the core story of Douglas returning to Man Citeh. Adds up for me, but it's just an opinion.

But he's saying in in response to the article linking him going back.

He had a pretty 'meh' pre-covid campaign and a very good run in. BUT does anyone really think he's at the CL level already? It seems very strange to me. He still has a long way to go and most importantly show consistency.
