Wide playmaker. Think Bernardo Silva or David Silva when he played in the front 3. Obviously he's not on their level but same role.

Kuwabatake Sanjuro
He looked lively when he came on, must be remembered he had to have 2 hernias removed last season which wasn't ideal. If he turns up this season a little bit faster and more explosive he could prove a more useful squad member.
Sulberto21
Seems to have put some muscle on which is good. Looks much more filled out. Hopefully he can be more than a goalpost this season.
striker Posted September 15, 2020 Visiting Supporter Share Posted September 15, 2020 Thought he was very good when he came on constantly looking to play the forwards in. The type of player Smith loves. Could be very useful with so many games coming up.
Keyblade
Might even be considered as rotation as the left footed right winger once Traore comes. Trez and AEG have their work cut out for them trying to oust Rashica on the left.
Zatman
I think as a footballer he is actually gifted but sadly for Premier League he doesn't have the physicality

The Fun Factory
A footballer rather than an athlete. About 20 years ago he would look quality but doesn't have the pace or natural strength to make it at the top. Going off topic a bit but should football be like that? Its all pressing and work rate and less about skills. Starting to ramble a bit here. Edited September 15, 2020 by The Fun Factory

It is a bit frustrating but the great thing about football being a worldwide sport is that the game is different all around the globe. Jota isn't prem quality, athletically, but man he would tear it up in MLS over here. My local team, DC United, is crying out for a guy like him.

I guess not everyone can be a David Silva in the PL.

the_eristic
Yeah, looked pretty lively. If he can keep up that sort of hustle, he might actually turn out useful. Definitely has the skill.

Jas10
If not for his injury issues (two hernias and an operation) last year, we would have seen more of him. Doesn’t seen like many are aware of that and he’s probably been unfairly criticised. He has quality and has an eye for a pass, lacks speed & physicality though. Thing is, as we continue to strengthen the team/squad, I doubt he’ll get much of a look in (even when fully fit) apart from cup games so might be worth selling now. I’d rather shift others, such as Lansbury, before Jota though. He could still contribute...
