villalad21
The Norwich dude is right. But I still believe the season can finish by using a tweaked format. "Results has to be decided on the pitch" Yes. Spot on it has to, and it will. Edited May 13, 2020 by villalad21

Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted May 13, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted May 13, 2020 I don't think that fans will congregate at grounds. I think that someone somewhere will have a screen up in a quiet little club or the back room of a pub and people will congregate around it - the little party at the fishing club on a Liverpool estate that ends up with 100 people at it, the mate who invites the six season ticket holders he usually sits with around to his house because they don't have Sky, that sort of thing. I don't think we'll see thousands of people gathered at a handful of grounds, I think we'll seen handfuls of people gathered in thousands of places - from a viral transmission perspective, that's worse.

Popular Post tonyh29
He he Premier League clubs refusing to play in empty stadiums, insisting Manchester City would have unfair advantage . As per one anonymous source, clubs are concerned that the lack of atmosphere would negatively affect performance for all clubs except Manchester City, who have had the luxury of spending the last seven years playing at home in exactly these conditions. “It would be completely unfair to the rest of the league,” said one club CEO, who refused to be named. “Manchester City spend week in, week out, playing to a completely silent and practically empty stadium. They are completely used to not having fans attend games – so how can the League expect the rest of the teams to adjust to that reality so quickly? 3

They are in advanced planning for another lockdown in November in anticipation of a winter crisis in the NHS plus another spike . He says this is a likely event and not a ‘just in case’ scenario. So that would wreck 2020/21 as well. Which makes it far more important to scrap this season and start next season early allowing for future potential disruptions.

useless
Championship aiming to restart their season on June 6th. Apparently they're seeking permission from the Premier league and government at a meeting tomorrow, so maybe we'll hear more overall about what's going on by this time tomorrow.
