Man. United are so random.

It would be in our interests for the likes of them and Spurs to actually get some consistancy now and both have strong ends to the season.

Yes we still have to play thme but look who else they've got in the run in:

Watford at home

Brighton away

Bournemouth home

Us away

Southampton home

Palace away

West Ham home

Thats most of their last ten fixtures although FA and europa fixtures will complicate things a bit.

Win all their home games and that's awesome for us.

If only we hadn't broken Son's arm and made it much harder for Spurs in their run-in eh?

Edit - oh, this is about man utd isn't it? Ignore me!

Mings and McGinn are going to be crucial to our run-in. It's like if Watford lost Deulofeu and Doucoure or Saints lost Redmond and Ward-Prowse.

McGinn when he is on form is incredible, but people seem to forget for months before he was injured he was utterly useless, isolated in some attacking position where he would take on four players and get dispossessed.

Hopefully if he does return he will be played in a much deeper role.

Man U not going all out to sign Haaland has got to be one of the most monumental clangers dropped in Football. Absolute monster!

EDIT: Just realised who his agent is, makes sense. lol

He was arguably useless for weeks, certainly not months.

I don't trust us to take any points away from home and the issue at VP most of our games are against teams in the top half and we just don't seem to pull off results against them (despite taking the lead nearly every single time).

Agreed. He was our best player at the start of the season until Dean (rightfully) sacrificed him a bit to push Jack forwards. His form dipped a bit and then seemingly he got fatigued and has a poor few weeks before his injury.

'Months' is a pretty big exaggeration

Big game tonight, I can see man City absolutely pumping West ham 4 or 5 tonight after the week they've had. Would be great to have a team below us with worse goal difference.

West Ham are the only team below us with a better goal difference as it stands. I hope they get battered too but any loss will do!

1-0 Off Diops arse into his own goal in the 95th minute if needs be!

As good as that sounds there's only 2 teams below us that it would likely come down to goal difference with and we have better goal difference than none of them, also with us playing West ham last game of the season goal difference could be absolutely massive. 8-0 City please

GAME CHANGER

Offside rule set to be turned on its head by Arsene Wenger after season of VAR outrage

The move would shift the benefit of the doubt back in favour of the attacker, who could be onside by virtue of a toe under the proposed law, even if the rest of their body is ahead of the last defender.

The game-changing adjustments to the laws will be presided over by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development, and put in place for next season.

He said: “You will be not offside if any part of the body that can score a goal is in line with the last defender, even if other parts of the attacker’s body are in front.

“That will sort it out and you will no longer have decisions about millimetres and a fraction of the attacker being in front of the defensive line.”

Common sense.

I've thought about this a lot.

Imagine if that Kevin Friend decision in that Palace game (Lansbury goal) will end up being the difference between survival and relegation.

It won't, being shit in 50% of the games and losing against teams below/around us will be the difference

Apparently PL teams have been being caught offside less and less over time as teams shifted their playing styles so that they play a style which doesn't require beating the offside trap as much.

If this rule is put into place, this would be a very large advantage for attackers and would ineivitably significantly change how every single team plays.
