Popular Post AvfcRigo82
So It's July 2018 and Villa are owned by Tony Xia, somewhat a fantasist - some might say a liar? Left in the hands of Round and Wyness to run the club without any hesitation, - But low and behold the sneaky b*****d had us hours from facing liquidation! So Xia and friends sold up and then they were out - along came the duo of Edens & Sawaris and saved us with their clout. Brucie done a 'U' turn and started begging at the owners door, - Yet Mr Potato head was ready to abandon ship - only several weeks before! He left us with no defenders but we were filled with right-backs galore, "it's fine" repeated Brucie, "they can play anywhere across the back four" It wasn't very convincing that we would climb the league, everyone soon began having doubts! - "Relax" said Stevie Bruce, "We'll be there or thereabouts". So enough was enough and Brucie was shown the door, his trugid football and dinosaur tactics - we couldn't bare to see them, not a second more! There was rumours of Thierry Henry arriving but that went without a sniff, instead we inherited a Villan - who goes by the name of Dean Smith. He's taken the team from nothing when he came and took the reigns, he's got us into the playoff final - ten wins from our last twelve league games. It is quite remarkable where we were only ten months ago, and yet we make our way to Wembley for the second season in a row! We're only one win away from the Premier League, exciting yes I know - So let's demolish Derby and then it's up, up we go! All the best lads.. you can do this! Reivax_Villa
To put things into perspective in the midst of the winding up order leading up to pre season.. I never would had thought that we was a final game away from promotion in Wembley. If.. we overcome this final hurdle. I will be reflecting on the past difficult four years. Staff have lost jobs, turgid football, financial issues ect. If.. we overcome this final hurdle. There will be a lot to look forward to.
