A chance to turn a profit in under 12 months ?

They're both multi billionaires, I don't think it will have been worth there while to sell the club for an extra 40/50 million each. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Man City fans must feel dirty.

So you don't agree there's a difference between being owned by a Individual as opposed to a state?

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make with that comment to the post. That two wrongs make a right? That there shouldn't be a moral/ethical discussion in regards to the possiblity of being owned by Quatar? Because Manchester City is owned by the UEA who's also been heavily criticised for violating human rights?

And Egyptian! Plus everyone only loves our owners because they are also stinking rich.

It has to be time for atrocity-wang - if you add up the number of innocents murdered by Egypt, USA versus Qatar, it's highly likely that the UK has killed more.

TBF many many countries have dirty hands, Qatar have rubbish H&S leading to deaths of workers who were probably slaves. 21 Chinese fellas died in Morecambe Bay working for a gang master - why? Cos Tory ferkin capitalism and a race to the bottom when it comes to workers rights. There is no righteous position, as a country, but by all means let's stand individually for something much better.

Nobody told smith to bring an injury prone midfielder (carroll)

nobody told smith to loan out O,Hare

the defending was like the keystone cops today, falling over, kicking the ball against each other...in terms of organisation it looks worse than ever....thats a smith defence now...and true to form its conceeding 2 goals a game. its organisation not players.

This happened in 2004 when we had a Labour socialist govt so not sure why this is a becuase of the "Tory ferkin capitalism"?  Not sure what it's got to do with football either.

Topic = Qatar and its position on killing people and aren't they clearly worse than us. Response = comment on Qatar and its position on killing people. By all means muddy the waters, but when it comes to an individual or two individuals owning Villa, let us just reflect on where we are from before pointing fingers. Also, New Labour were not socialists.

This also happened about half an hour ago in your previous comment.

Yup, after all a quick 50 mill or so funds a purchase of a club like Villa, they didn't pay more than that for us did they?

It's all profit and flipping into even bigger profit etc.

That being said, if they build the right way, and hold out even longer, bring us to the Premier League with some success, infrastructure and foundation,.

That 40 or 50 mill can become 400 or 500 mill.

The systematic abuse and taking away the freedom from foreign workers has been wildly report from human rights organisations, journlaists, and officials from the origin country of workers.

They have all the money in the world yet they have been practicing modern day slavery. Yes they have changed the laws, but with reluctance. And mostly due to international pressure.

Add in death penalty for gays(by law but not practiced)

I think you're right about the fact that there's a smearing campaign against them in terms of linking them with terrorism, the corruption accusations might be as well.

But the other issues I've mentioned can't be excused. And I would say that's more enough reasons to be negative towards a Quatar ownership.

Sent from my smartphone made in a factory that exploits its poorly paid workers in a country with a questionable  human rights record.

Probs click bait probs bollox but do you honestly think if given a healthy return on their investment they will turn down an offer from the Qatari’s ? Sawaris lives in LONDON but never attends villa park.... is that a sign of someone that emotionally invested in us ... ?! Right $$$ they will sell in my mind.

So he should've said "new labour ferkin' capitalism" - I'm happy to agree on that.

You're right, it's just 'ferkin Capitalism' and it has a lot to do with football, actually, when human rights abuses are being committed in the name of it.

General point but also related - football fans need to get serious about this. The so-called free market is breaking the game, allowing these utter scoundrels to ride roughshod over it taking what they want, including human lives, all so they can swing their massive bank balances around in lieu of their tiny dicks.

People who think football should be sheltered from politics are a massive part of the problem. They're the guards.

maybe edens and Sawaris  bought us to tidy up the accounts, raise the profile, get us up and make a profit by selling us to someone bigger like qsg.

they're the football version of edd china and mike brewer.

I would be happy if they bought us out and they were serious about making a challenge for the premier league title.
