We definitely need another forward who can score goals. Hogan is totally shot has a player for us. If Jonny Kodjia gets injured we have zero cover as Davis won't be good enough either.

Ideally, we need an attacking player who can play any of the front three roles. Leao is obvious but will cost a fortune. Jarrod Bowen is another option and for half the price. Can Maupay play anywhere across the front?

A bit concerned about where our goals are going to come from this season. We have an untried new striker I know, but up against good quality defences we will need to take every chance and half chance.

Tammy's 25 goals put us back in the big boys league, we need to ensure that other players on the pitch can make up that deficit.

Regards

Derek

People said we wouldnt spend 100m. We have. People said talk of 130-150m is sheer fantasy. We will at least spend that.

Basically, they'll spend what they want. What they think they'll need to spend. No point ruling anything out as it stands.

FFP still restricts us though. With the stadium being sold we can spend £130m and finish 20th and pass FFP.

No way we are spending £35m on another striker. Our remaining budget after Luiz is probably going to be in the region of £30m to £40m to buy the 3 to 4 players we need.

How do we know how much our budget is?

Also if the owners wanted too, could they not just do a directors loan much like what Tony Bloom did at Brighton? He basically lent the football club out of his own pocket until they could pay him back.

Where's the calc for this? Sure I've seen it discussed on here before but couldn't find it.

I'm assuming the amount we can spend would be dependent on the length of contracts. The difference between £130m on 5 year contracts vs 3 year contracts would be about £17m in this season's accounts.
