It's the other end I think they were a bit too dismissive, whilst it's fair to call Smith attack minded he totally sorted out the defense and we always looked very solid under Smith once he'd got a couple of defenders in. Plus if we sign players like Luiz and Trezeguet then Wesley will probably be getting way better service than he ever got before. I don't think we'll be pushovers. We can't go expecting this sort of delivery. Last season, only 4 players managed 20+ goals in the Premier League - Salah, Aubameyang, Mane and Aguero. There are only 2 or 3 in the league that manage it consistently. We need someone to match our style of play, add ~12-15 goals and bring others into play successfully. To me on the face of it he looks like he will get more involved, assist count pretty much suggests that too. Drop deep, hold it up etc He will be more than just someone standing at the edge of the box and waiting for the ball in my opinion. He has the physicality to do it here.
