First match in a while where we have probably been unlucky to not have won. Very good second half, pressed them high, won the ball back quickly, we just look clueless when we get around the opponent's penalty box.

As far as points go this was a good one for me!

We are not getting out of this league this year so the points are not the be all and end all here, rather showing us they can turn a corner for next year.

We were the better team today, even deserved the win, but you can tell how much confidence has been drained from them.  It was only this that cost us the actual points because by god Stoke were terrible.

Thought Hourihane had a decent game today as did Whelan, but the quality on the wings is sorely lacking.

Kudos for Smith for changing the formation, we looked more likely to score not having to just rely on the wings.

Id like to see more of this next game.

Better in the second half and could of won it, but Stoke were awful and we were only marginally better in short spells. At least the players worked a bit harder and actually tried to get into space.

It felt like Kodjia didn't do much, the decision to loan out Hogan even if he has been crap for us now feels a bit rubbish, not sure what we have gained by loaning O'Hare out.

what happened to RHM?

He's out on loan at Cambridge - with Jake DH

At least we stopped losing.

Dean Smith’s points per match (30 from 22) now match exactly you know who’s (15 from 11).

Without axel and grealish. Good to see we are improving. If he can match the points of the guy who built the squad, imagine what he could do with his own

On loan

And hasn't scored a single goal in League 2, in 7 appearances, he's getting a decent run out each time, too.  The kid's **** shit

We already know that from what he did at Brentford.

Incidentally, 15 points from 11 was quite rightly a sacking offence. Quite interesting you think 30 from 22 is an “improvement”.

That made me chuckle.

Add McGinn, Grealish, Tuanzebe to that team and we'll be absolutely fine. Tuanzebe and Mings together at the back would be amazing IMO. Summer is huge....

I thought we conceded a sloppy goal when down to 10 men, then proceeded to be the better team overall and had deserved a win. It wasn’t great but I’ll take the improvement and hope we build on it.

5 wins 2 draws 2 losses until Jack injured then another draw and Axel out. 2 of the best players gone and we've struggled with the horrible squad Bruce left. Don't pretend he didn't
