Popular Post Greenfly
People always talk about how his mistakes are costly, but they never really consider that all defender's mistakes are costly and he only apparently makes so many because he's consistently under more pressure than most. Under Smith our midfield was so easy to bypass we relied on our entire defence to keep scores down because every open-end would get a free run at goal all the time. If you're constantly under attack, you're going to be exposed a lot. Mings is a solid defender and the best leader in the club. Or defence tends to suffer without him. He's certainly not world class, but he deserves way more respect than he gets.
Xela
Is Tyrone still the scapegoat of the week? Or is it Targett again?

CVByrne
6 hours ago, a m ole said: Then it’s Konsa you have beef with, as a Tyrone is the one who all the managers and coaches since he’s been here have chosen to play everything through. No, we don't need 2 CBs who are the "go to" for playing out from the back. Mings does this more than Konsa at the moment and neither are good at it. So signing a different type of CB like Gomez to add to Mings and Konsa makes complete sense.

Have not read this thread. Yes we missed him which isn't suprising is it, he is the glue he keeps the defence together
Indigo
Every time he doesn't play seems to be a reminder of why he's so important to this team.
DCJonah
What a shock, we look much worse at the back when he's not there. So undervalued on this site.

Mark Albrighton Posted January 2, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted January 2, 2022 Speaking as someone who likes Tyrone, I will acknowledge that those who criticise him on here probably don’t consider Kortney Hause to be a viable option instead of him. Mings does get a lot more stick than is warranted in my view, or rather others don’t get a proportionate amount of blame when they make a mistake. A third defender who wouldn’t look out of place in the starting eleven to compete with Mings and Konsa would be welcome.

Popular Post villaslash
Love this and think his big heart is another reason he’s so great to have at Villa. Its reminding me when we used to have Acorns on the front of the Jersey and there was a great photo and interview with Laursen and Barry about the Villa Acorns partnership. it’s stuff like this that makes Villa extra special. Thanks Mings.
