Shocking mistake but redeemed himself. He's been immense this season.

I wouldn't say he redeemed himself exactly. He didn't have a whole lot to do. Our subs won the game. It really is ok you know to call himself out on the mistake he made. We have an everything is rosy in the garden element within our fan base, as long as we win. He'd of been hammered this evening had we lost that game. We didn't win it because of him.

Terrible mistake and really quite sloppy but he lifted himself and pushed the team on after that. Big character.

Thank god for his sake he redeemed himself. On here and Twitter would've been a shitshow regarding Mings.

Sometimes he really does need to stop F'in around, he does do to many cock ups and needs to screw his head on more.

He's a very good defender for us and has been since joining in the championship, somehow those who train him have to knock the foul ups out of his system, if he could concentrate the whole game he and Konsa would be a CB force to be wreckoned with.

meh, i'm not sure today was in the f'in around category personally. it was a simple back pass that went wrong. 99 times out of 100 he connects with that and it goes safely back to emi.

It was sloppy shite fresh from the pig slop section, he and Sanson made that shit extra stinky from being to slow and arsing around with weak footed kicks.

Chuffed for him getting the assist after his mistake, you could tell he was gutted.

Has been immense for us not just this season but ever since he signed. There's a very small and select list of people who have dragged this club back into the big time and Tyrone is right at the top of it - deserves much more respect than he gets and I personally hope he's here for the rest of his top level career

He created the equaliser. He redeemed himself in that moment. Even Souness gave him credit for trying to push forward and make amends.

You know you don't have to be desperate to really kick your own players all the time. We might not have won the game because of him. We certainly have the 2nd best defence in the league because of him and that back 5.

Brilliant response from the mistake. Not sure why he felt the need to pass back to Emi given that he had a load of space on his left to touch the ball into and then clear it down the wing. Of course the passage of play leading up to that incident invited the pressure on the first place. Our passing in generally was sluggish and negative until we got our act together with the subs.

Mings has got this mistake in him. He has big lapses in concentration that are too often costly. But we’re unquestionably better with him in the team than without him that’s for sure and I personally admire how he never hides after a mistake and owns it and credit to him for assisting for the first goal.

Konsa is, however, showing with every game how he’s superior to him though and Mings’s regular mistakes will have been noted by our scouting and coaching teams and I think we’ll be bringing in some strong competition for Mings in the summer.

Big mentality. Didn't hide after the mistake, pushed on and contributed to the win. He does lack concentration at times but less than 150ish games as a pro, he is a very decent player who will only get better.

Absolutely, many Villa players in the past would sink after a shit error but Mings was the complete opposite

Said it before the lack of first team football at the crucial development stage  means he lost that time to iron out these kinks in his game. Mings’ @28 yo has played 180 career games in total to konsa’s 199 @ 23 yo...

If he didn’t have these brain farts, then he wouldn’t be playing for us. He would be world class like Ferdinand.

He would be playing for us, not sure he'd be world class either but we have Konsa and he makes hardly the mistakes Ming's does so it's hard to say whether we would have Ming's or not all because if brain farts existent or not in his game.

I do agree on the rest though he has missed a fair bit of football and is a late starter really. Considering the club's he went to he did exactly the same there on those particular brain farts, it's those that have not helped him out along the way and they most likely canned him like Bournemouth did. Really we rescued the bloke from being in limbo.

We've been lacking creativity further up the field without Jack.

The answer? Mings, obviously.

Haven't had a real marauding CB since... Vlaar? Need Mings to blast one in from 30 yards out next time!
